Without the Dynamic option, your 'compare-to' hospitals are static and can not be changed after you initially set them up. Factoring Factoring provides the ability to multiply the charge amount of each code of each 'compare-to' hospital, your own hospital, and Medicare. Factoring can be a helpful tool for comparison and sensitivity analysis. Factoring is designed so you can factor each entity (your 'compare-to' hospitals, your hospital, and Medicare) individually, in logical groups, or all of them together.
